Project specification

  The first step in our ‘from sketch to success’ service is defining the project specification; where RSL guide a client when establishing all the requirements of a project.

Key issues are;

  • Software specifications (layout, content, interchangeable packages)
  • Hardware specifications (amount, type, colour, graphics, mounting options, communications, location, viewing angles)
  • Timescale
  • Approvals and coordination with external bodies (electricity, broadband services etc)

 We are often asked to design a product to meet a particular function or architects vision. We may start from as little as a crude and scribbled drawing, or even just a concept idea, and end up with an intricate system that is constantly connected to our remote monitoring system.

 Once everyone involved with the project is satisfied by design sketches, product definitions and software requirements RSL begin the manufacture and extensive testing of our systems.
