Leek TIC through glass interactive informationThrough Glass

The Through Glass ‘in window’ solution consists of a touch screen sensor fixed to the inside of a single glazed window, at a height suitable for all users (including children and wheelchair users). Most commonly featured in tourist information centres, the system enables 24/7 information access. RSL 'Through Glass' is part of the interactive kiosks and electronic display range from RSL.

These systems are typically enhanced with a surrounding static graphic fixed to the window, which couples nicely with the moving attract screens that loop on the touch screen display. There are countless graphics options available, with variations in style, size, color and design.

  • Finished to suit inside colour scheme
  • Site specific bracketing
  • Minimal space requirements, as the display is only 10cm in depth
  • Integrated light sensor senses the outside ambient light and adjusts the integrated back light to optimise the screen brightness. This is extremely beneficial in allowing the screen to be easily viewed in all lighting conditions

The controlling PC is mounted in a suitable position which is usually away from the window with connecting cables being totally concealed (or wireless technology is used if necessary). The touch screens are calibrated on site as part of the installation process. A suitable power connection and communications point will also be established at the site survey.

It is important to remember how flexible RSL are at providing both hardware and software solutions. The unit above and below features an additional screen mounted on the rear of the RSL Through Glass, showing promotional DVD’s. This is just one example of the many ways in which we can customise products to suit specific client requirements.
