Management software

RSL provide a multitude of different software systems and packages, tailored for a vast variety of different needs. We split the types of software available into 'management software' and 'applications software'; with management being the resource in which a purpose is fulfilled. For example a journey planning software application is viewed through a secure browser, which may incorporate a data display system which features a messaging capability. Here is a break down of our management software.

Secure Browser

An example of an RSL Secure Browser reastricting access to an unapproved site  The RSL Secure Browser provides the environment in which a kiosk user is able to interact with the intended content. It provides a ‘walled garden’ access to various nominated websites, based upon a white-list (sites which have been vetted and approved). If someone tries to access a site which isn’t on the list then an ‘access denied’ message will be shown. This message will also be shown if the system suspects anyone is trying to breach the secure browser.

This software package allows custom messages to be shown on a range of RSL systems including attract screens on an idle kiosk.

The client is able to produce simple text and image messages which can be shown at specific dates and times. The interface is a simple ‘Microsoft Word’ type format allowing nominated users to generate simple html content which is sent to the display system, or interactive kiosk, via the internet.
