Parents and carers have advice at their fingertips.
Hertfordshire County Council have made information readily available for parents and carers by way of a number of user-friendly, easy to understand, attractive and robust RSL Slimline interactive kiosks.
Healthcare, financial advice, accommodation and employment issues, through to travel information, details of local agencies and family support programs can all be accessed by way of an intuitive, easy to use touch screen interface. Users of the touch screen kiosks are quickly and efficiently guided to the information that they require thanks to a bespoke navigation interface.
RSL were selected because they were able to offer appropriate and robust solutions for every aspect of the project, including site surveys, design, manufacture, installation and maintenance. The system even benefits from an attached phone that directly contacts the Children’s Information Service.
The first of these innovative systems was installed at St Albans Children’s Centre in Hertfordshire. This proved to be so successful that several others were commissioned soon afterwards at locations throughout the county.
The level of interest generated has resulted in a national roll out of the interactive kiosks, Bedfordshire being one of the first areas to benefit.
